There will be plenty for the whole family at Rutland Food and Craft Festival
Moment in Time
Formed in 2010 from an initial idea of a small group of re-enactors with over 75 years of experience between them, A Moment in Time brings together the best of Living History Re-enacting. Popular exhibitors at our Country Shows, at the Food Festivals they will be looking at food through the ages, showing you how to bake bread on an open fire, and tempting you with their spit roasted chicken and beer soup.
Linda Hewitt’s Baking Workship will teach you how to make and knead your own dough, all ready for the oven. A must for all aspiring young bakers! Or you may want to learn how to make your own fresh pasta.
Make your own chocolate truffles or decorate a biscuit!
Have a Go Crafts
Throw a pot or paint a plate, make a sand model to take home. Something for the children to really get busy with in the craft corner. They may even want to have a go at black-smithing.
Individual craft activities
Fun house, bouncy castle, swing merry go round. Every child will want to have a go…
